Deathbydrawing | I currently own two Legacy decks (Reanimator and ANT) and I want to know if i should foil out one of the decks or just build another (if you had to choose)? I like having options/ multiple decks so it's not the same routine when i compete and building decks is fun in my opinion but should i invest in making one of my current decks foiled out before the prices of some of the cards jump again or invest in another deck (I would build Merfolk next)? |
AGO | Unless it is a deck you love I would just build another. I have pimped out my Lands.dec. I could probably pay my house off if I sold the damn thing. |
wjuseck | It is more fun to have more decks. Try to build something that is evenly matched against another deck you own and friends can play and it won't feel awful like most Legacy matches. |
chaos021 | New deck > pimped out deck. In my opinion, this has always been true unless you just absolutely love a particular deck. Even then, I always want to know the likelihood of keeping it together for whatever format it's good for. |
Sovarius | Foils are a waste of money, but if you find different looking cards to be more fun than having more unique cards go for it __________________ Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, and other vampire females oddities (crimp miscut misprint sign testprint alters etc)My Saleslist and Buylist

my cards are more unique if they are foil |

I second this

thulnanth | Gotta agree... with only 2 decks I'd probably build another. That being said, I've got 23 EDH decks plus a 200 card Zombie horde deck - they're currently over 90% pimped. My new purchases are mostly foil upgrades these days Take it easy, Jared |
Kwas | I, on the other hand, always foil out stuff before I start on a new project. I think of my decks as projects, and for them to be as "done" as possible, I want them to look pretty. Besides, I play a single strategy mainly (RUG-coloured delver-decks), which means there are an overlap in the cards. Depends on why you build the two decks, I guess. |
MagixDK | whoever said foils are a waste of money, is incorrect. as with most other products, money can be made there. as someone who also pimped his lands.dec (wth AGO - how you pimp yours?) - but have a handfull of other decks, id recommend having at least two decks before commiting remaining to cash to pimping. its so sad to get bored w. the only thing you have. |
hilikuS | Wait so pimping makes you money? If only it were easy. |
